1/1500 scale model of Chofu Airport

Seven lab members built a 1/1500 scale model to support discussions on the redevelopment of Chofu Airport. Based on drawings and site photos, the model reproduces the urban structure, building scales, and spatial relationships, and visualizes height restrictions related to aircraft operations, serving as a shared reference for experts and local residents.

To prioritize pedestrians on arterial roads, we identified sections suitable for reorganization and drafted proposals for utilizing new technologies based on roadside characteristics. We are currently evaluating implementation feasibility and comfort through workshops and collaborative sessions with private companies.

This project aims to address the growing number of school-refusing children and to improve the sense of belonging within schools, by creating a "third place" in elementary schools that is neither the classroom nor the schoolyard. It is being planned and led by newly assigned fourth-year students from 2026.
