About the lab
三浦都市デザイン研究室は、公共空間と街路のデザイン、マネジメント、ガバナンスを研究しています。ウォーカビリティ、プレイスメイキング、参加型都市デザインプロセスに重点を置き、フィールドワーク、ワークショップ、政策立案への参画を通じて、理論と実践の橋渡しを行っています。
The Miura Urban Design Lab investigates the design, management, and governance of public spaces and streets, with a focus on walkability, placemaking, and participatory urban design processes. Our research bridges theory and practice through fieldwork, workshops, and policy engagement across Japan and internationally.

博士（環境学）（東京大学、2015年）。2024年より中央大学理工学部准教授、2025年より学長補佐（キャンパス整備・SDGs）。東京大学スマートシティデザイン研究社会連携講座特任助教、横浜国立大学助教を歴任。一般社団法人ストリートライフ・メイカーズ共同代表理事。ストリートデザイン・マネジメント、ウォーカブルシティ、プレイスメイキングを専門とする。『ストリートデザイン・マネジメント』（学芸出版社、2019年）共編著、『ストリートファイト』翻訳（2020年）など著書多数。2025年グッドデザイン賞受賞。
Ph.D. in Environment (The University of Tokyo, 2015). Associate Professor at Chuo University since 2024 and Assistant to the President for Campus Development and SDGs since 2025. Previously at The University of Tokyo Smart City Design Lab and Yokohama National University. Co-representative of Streetlife Makers. Specialist in street design management, walkable cities, and placemaking. Author and co-editor of multiple books including Street Design Management (Gakugei Shuppansha, 2019) and Streetfight (Japanese translation, 2020). Recipient of the 2025 Good Design Award
マーシャル レオ
Léo Martial
助教 / 研究室補佐
Research Assistant / Lab Coordinator
博士（工学）（横浜国立大学、2021年）。パリ建築大学修了、建築士資格取得（2015年）。2025年より中央大学理工学部助教C。日建設計（2022-2024年）、AREP/SNCF（フランス国鉄、2012-2017年）で建築家として勤務。参加型都市デザイン（まちづくり）のためのゲーミフィケーション、GIS教育、自転車と公共交通の相乗効果を研究テーマとする。フランス語・英語・日本語で都市ゲーミング、交通レジリエンス、自転車文化に関する論文を発表。TEDx登壇（TEDxYNU、2019年）。日本語能力試験N2取得。
Ph.D. in Engineering (Yokohama National University, 2021). Licensed architect (Paris School of Architecture, 2015). Research Assistant at Chuo University since 2025. Former architect at Nikken Sekkei (2022-2024) and AREP/SNCF (2012-2017). Research focuses on gamification for participatory urban design (machizukuri), GIS education, and bicycle-public transport synergies. Author of publications in French, English, and Japanese on urban gaming, transport resilience, and cycling culture. TEDx speaker (TEDxYNU, 2019). JLPT N2 certified.
